Featuring slacker geometry, a frame built around increased travel in the fork, and a less race-focused design than the Epic, the Epic 8 Evo blends efficiency and extra capability to bring us a cross-country bike with enhanced downhill capability, otherwise known as downcountry. Updated suspension kinematics and a Ride Dynamics tuned shock pair together to bring us truly epic performance on the trail and a bottomless feel on steeper terrain. The Evo has a slacker head tube angle, longer wheelbase, and shorter reach than its more race-inspired sibling, landing at an impressive 65. 9-degree head tube angle in the high setting. New for the Epic models this year is Specialized's renowned SWAT internal frame storage, giving us the ability to stash an extra layer and tools inside the frame.
