The shell material boasts strong numbers for waterproofing and breathability, and they're also insulated to keep kids on the mountain when the weekend temps are below average. Obermeyer also reinforced the seat, knees, seams, and scuffguards to protect the pants against heavy wear. We also like the Extended Wear System, which lets us extend the length up to 2 inches to get more wear before we need to buy another size.
