We no longer hike in our snow boots or regular hiking boots in the winter, now that the Merrell Moab comes in an insulated version for winter hiking! The Merrell Moab 3 Thermo Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot is made for winter hiking with extra insulation and Vibram outsoles with deep, 5mm lugs and a winter-specific rubber compound for safer hiking on snow and ice. Primaloft Gold Eco insulation keeps our feet warm, and the combination of waterproof leather uppers and a water-proof breathable membrane keep us drier and (thus) warmer on snowy trails and slushy walks to work.
